Junior Achievement I am proud to volunteer with Junior Achievement!
Most people remember Junior Achievement as the organization that helped students understand the workings of business and the free-enterprise system by guiding them through the formation and operation of student-run corporations. Today, Junior Achievement still puts stock in the philosophy that students learn best by doing, and we have incorporated this belief into in-school programming for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade.
These programs educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise, understand business and economics, and improve the quality of their lives with the use of hands-on activities with area business volunteers each week. In Eastern North Carolina alone, volunteers touch the lives of over 10,000 students per year, with 4.2 million reached worldwide.
The largest economic-education organization in the world, Junior Achievement is able to provide its worthwhile programs through contributions of time and money from area businesses, civic groups, foundations, PTA, and individuals who share Junior Achievement's goals of greater economic understanding and overall workforce readiness.
